An integrated international service provider to the oil & gas industry, with capabilities to serve the complete lifecycle for upstream, midstream and downstream facilities and infrastructure.

To work as the legal advisor within the Contracts and Commercial department of the Company (a world class contractor providing engineering procurement, and project management services to the international oil and gas industry). This in particular will involve:

• Advising on all legal issues and procedures affecting the company’s business.

• Drafting and negotiating complex contracts and related documents in relation to the major projects undertaken by the company

• Drafting and negotiating joint ventures and consortium agreements with partners and sub contracts and purchase orders

• Reviewing and negotiating performance bonds and guarantees and other forms of security

• Advising on claims and the conduct thereof arising in the ordinary course of the companies business including preparation for arbitration or other legal proceedings as appropriate

• Managing the provision of advice by external counsel, as appropriate, particularly in the context of the variety of jurisdictions in which the company conducts business

• Providing advice on general corporate matters including the establishment of new corporate entities, banking arrangements, copyright mailers, licensing arrangements and technology transfers

• Ensuring that management are kept apprised of legal developments which affect the conduct of the company’s business and the risks attaching thereto
