Established fast growing company providing state of the art satellite, telemetry and communications systems for drilling rigs, platforms and associated facilities around the world.

Reporting to the VP & GM, the ideal Business Development Manager must be able to demonstrate excellent selling, negotiation, communication and problem solving skills. Ability to define and discuss project requirements with all levels of the client’s organization in order to provide solutions is required.

Responsibilities, Accountabilities

  • Sales of managed communications services in the West Africa region

  • Business Development activities to develop new markets in Africa

  • Management of existing accounts

  • Organize local marketing activities including appropriate presence at conferences in the region.

Qualifications/ Experience: The following skills, qualifications and experience are required:
  • Regional knowledge of the West Africa and Mediterranean energy industry is essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in remote telecommunications and/or information technology experience desirable.
  • Proven track record in sales
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Selling, negotiations and closing skills and ability to influence decision making at all levels of an organization
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly self motivated and results oriented individual.
  • Demonstrated account, territory and project management skills with the ability to collaborate, direct and lead others in a team environment.
  • Strong planning, analytical and computer skills.
