Senior Pipeline Engineer

Position Description:
Provision of engineering capability to
assist the Company achieve effective delivery of capital projects related to
the development of pipeline and other gas processing and transportation
infrastructure as part of the works by the Company that is necessary to supply
gas to the proposed LNG plant. Contribution to other projects may be required
as directed by the Engineering Manager.
The role will be responsible for providing
technical input to the development of the projects from conceptual design
through to detailed design, implementation and commissioning:

To meet agreed quality, operability and
cost effectiveness objectives

Assisting Project Managers to do so within
agreed cost and schedule constraints
Duties and Responsibilities include:
-
To provide strong technical leadership and
support to front-end planning, approvals, engineering and procurement,
construction and commissioning handover to operations of pipelines
developments.

Development of concept designs and design
basis documents
-
Technical review of pipelines-related
project deliverables
-
Development and maintenance of Company
Corporate standards and specifications relating to pipelines
-
To provide technical support and advice to
Operations where required
-
Liaison with field personnel and
contractors engaged in construction and commissioning activities
-
Acting as a mentor for less experienced
staff.

Engineering Manager
Qualifications/Experience:
The following skills, qualifications and
experience are required:
-
Engineering Degree (preferably Mechanical
or Civil)
-
Eligible for Corporate Membership of the
Institution of Engineers, Australia
-
10+ years experience in gas pipelines
-
Significant experience in the development
of conceptual and feasibility studies for major infrastructure projects
-
Significant experience in the development
of high pressure gas pipelines, including the preparation of design basis
manuals, licenses and land issues, building network models, sizing and
specification of gas pipelines and related equipment such as pressure
vessels, relief and protection systems, corrosion control systems,
compression, metering and pressure control facilities
-
Preferably experience in the development
of gas compression facilities, design and construction of water pipelines,
evaporation ponds, coal seam gas well head skids and gathering pipelines,
and saline water treatment facilities will be advantageous.
