Consultant Geophysicist

Position Description:

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Conceive, evaluate, and recommend high quality prospects for acquisition and inclusion to the exploration program.

• Seismic Interpretation

• Collaborate with geologist and reservoir engineer to ensure integrated interpretation

• Use efficient work flows to minimize interpretation time

• Apply specialized techniques (AVA, seismic attributes, inversion, etc) as required to reduce prospect risk

• Seismic Acquisition and Processing

• Ensure best fit design parameters to maximize frequency content, coherency, and consistency

• Supervise and ensure efficient and effective acquisition

• Define and implement processing flow with contractor to maximize data quality

• Keep current on new and emerging technologies and apply as is needed

• Key Interaction - External JV Partners

Qualifications/Experience:

The following skills, qualifications and experience are required:

• Degree in Geology or Geophysics

• Fluent in several interpretation packages. Expert in one.

• Structural Interpretation in varied styles

• 2-D/3-D Seismic Interpretation

• Sequence Stratigraphy

• Seismic stratigraphy

• AVA

• Attributes Analysis

• Seismic Acquisition and processing

• Gravity and magnetic
