Leading Australasian energy company.
The position will be based in Brisbane and the primary
objective of this role is to manage all areas of the company’s HSE matters.
The key responsibilities of this position include:

Develop HSE policies, strategies, guidelines and targets
ensuring best practices.

Provide leadership to the HSE Team.
-
Facilitate regulatory compliance on HSE matters, and to
establish and sustain strong links with regulatory bodies.

Identify and draft HSE initiatives with the focus on
execution and KPIs.
-
Continual review of HSE legislation, and advice to
management on new issues.
-
Coordinate and support incident investigations of
incidents, providing recommendations and corrective actions where required.

Provide support and advice to the Management Supervisors
and Operation Teams in delivering a continual improvement culture with the
goal of zero injuries or serious incidents.

Advise on and drive sustainable development strategies and
plans.

Provide high quality monitoring of HSE compliance and
analysis of findings.

| Qualifications/ Experience: |
To be successful in this role
it is essential you have:
-
Degree level with relevant
professional qualification.
-
Minimum 15 years oil & gas
industry experience with at least 5 years in an HSE leadership/management
role.

A technical background with
broad experience in E&P operational activities.
-
Extensive in depth knowledge of
HSE Management Systems, Security issues, HSE tools and techniques.
-
A skilled manager with the
ability to communicate effectively with staff at any level in the
organization.

Proven ability to lead a
multi-functional HSE team in a dynamic business environment.
-
Sound knowledge of industry
practice and legislation.
