Leading Australasian energy company
The position will be
based in Brisbane and the primary objective of this role is to carry out
engineering and maintenance support as directed by the Team Leader, and function
effectively as a member of the Engineering operations team.
The key
responsibilities of this position include:
-
Undertaking EEHA
implementation and auditing, Critical Function Tests and Process Health
Checks.

Formulating technical
proposals, and compile basic engineering and maintenance package.

Planning, scoping and
control of multi-discipline engineering design & construction projects.
-
Providing basic
computer networking.
-
Preparing instrument
specification - loop diagram - Technical bid evaluation - vendor print check.

Undertaking resource
planning for installation, service and workovers.
-
Providing internal
customer training.
-
Assisting Team Leader
with preparation of cost, time and resource requirement estimates for
projects, scope changes or proposals.

| Qualifications/ Experience: |
To be successful in this role
it is essential you have:
-
A Bachelor of Engineering
degree Electrical / Instrument from a recognised university.

8 years post graduation
experience.
-
An ability to work
semi-autonomously with minimal technical guidance.
-
Significant experience within
the oil and gas industry.
-
Experience in the
specification, testing, certification and operation of instrumentation for
installation in hazardous areas on offshore production oil and gas facilities.
-
Specific knowledge of
Australian and / or International hazardous area standards.
-
Experience in the specification
and purchase of pressure, temperature, level, flow and analytical measurement
instrumentation as appropriate for applications in oil and gas facilities.
-
Experience in vendor liaison,
bid evaluation and the procurement lifecycle for all instrumentation, valves
and control system packages including factory testing and vendor document
review.

A good working knowledge of
PLCs, Distributed Control Systems, Emergency Shutdown Systems and Fire and Gas
systems.

Familiarity with all design
documentation and their use and be able to originate such documents including
block diagrams, hook-up diagrams, termination diagrams, schematics, loops,
fire and gas layouts, instrument layouts, cause and effects, philosophies,
specifications and datasheets.

A good working knowledge of
hydraulic and pneumatic control systems for actuated valves on oil and gas
production facilities.

Fluency in spoken and written
English.
In addition you will have:
-
Extensive work experience at
mid to senior level within the oil and gas industry.
-
Some 'hands-on' experience in a
construction or operating plant environment would be well regarded.
-
Experience in the specific
issues and the design processes associated with implementing changes to
operational "brownfield" oil and gas facilities would be well regarded.
