An international oil and gas exploration company
quoted on the London Stock Exchange, with a portfolio of producing assets in the
UK, Indonesia, Pakistan and West Africa. The company continues to grow with
focus on oil & gas exploration and commercial deal-making.
The Engineering Planner will be a
member of the Asset Engineering Support Team, reporting to the Engineering
Manager. The engineering team provides technical support for the day to day
operations of the offshore assets as well as performing minor engineering
modifications and scoping studies for larger capital projects. The Engineering
Planner will be responsible for providing planning and report preparation
services for the Engineering team, including provision of regular and ad-hoc
reports and to incorporate the schedules for the asset operations group. Whilst
based onshore, routine visits to the offshore assets will be a requirement.

Key Responsibilities
The Engineering Planner will be
responsible for:

Liaising with Offshore Co-ordinator
on planned project activities.

Continuously liaising with all
disciplines within the Engineering team and offshore construction teams in
order to perform timely and efficient planning.

Collecting data and compiling
general planning on a regular and ad-hoc basis.

Verifying and checking the
planning performed by Projects group, 3rd party contractors and Op’s to ensure
that it is aligned within the Asset plan.

Planning of the Offshore
Construction activities, ensuring that all schedules prepared by the offshore
construction group and by site contractors are compliant with applied planning
methodologies & procedures.

Ensuring the tracking and
proper and correct reporting of plans. Analysing and highlighting the problem
areas and proposing solutions.

Updating all plans for monthly
reporting.

Planning and assisting in all
reporting activities performed within the Engineering team

Developing, executing and
maintaining the reporting procedures, ensuring they are aligned with the
corporate Company reporting.

Maintaining a reporting
schedule for the department, ensuring that all data is submitted on time and
in the required format.

Compiling reports based on the
data collected for internal review and for further submission to management.

| Qualifications/ Experience: |
The following qualifications,
skills and experience are required:
-
Engineering or Technical degree
or equivalent.
-
At least 10 years experience in
E&P Oil & Gas Operations in senior planning position, with proven all round
experience.

Significant working experience
with planning and reporting of complex oil & gas projects.

Familiarity with Project and
Corporate planning procedures.

Deep knowledge of computer
based planning and reporting tools in particular Primavera P3.

Ability to prepare strategy
plans to ensure that the planning tools are capable of meeting the
departmental needs.

Ability to initiate and promote
the discipline of planning and reporting within other functions.

Very good knowledge and
understanding of all levels of planning- from general high level to details
(Level 1 to Level 5).

Excellent written and verbal
communication skills.
