Engineering Advisor

Position Description:

The incumbent shall have a comprehensive experience in engineering of gas projects and technical coordination functions of EPC projects. Experience of projects in SE Asia is beneficial and the incumbent shall have proven ability to work effectively as leader of a team of national engineers and Joint Operating Business (JOB) staff, to provide optimum performance and contribute to the overall success of the project.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the engineering effort to define a commercial viable technical solution to NGL disposal.

  • Supervise engineering design for projects managed by the Joint Operating Business (JOB) from FEED through SOW for EPC contract and detailed engineering.

  • Overall management of the engineering team interfacing with DCS design, testing, installation and commissioning.

  • Interface at an engineering level with other operators engineering staff for tie-in and sharing of existing facilities

  • Monitoring and co-ordination of approval process of documents submitted for approval to JOB management and OPCOM.

  • Management of a multi discipline team of design discipline engineers as required

  • Take a lead role in ensuring that contractor’s project deliverables, procedures and progress meet both the Company’s and JOB requirements

  • Proactively ensure the EPC Contractor meets cost/ schedule

  • Production of milestone acceptance recommendations and reports to JOB Project Manager and identification and rectification of any shortcoming with EPC Contractor.    

Qualifications/Experience:

The following skills, qualifications and experience are required:

  • Degree in engineering

  • Minimum 15 years proven track record of discipline / project engineering in the on/ offshore petroleum industry, minimum 5 years of which on EPC project(s) within Asia

  • First class understanding of petroleum industry and gas condensate projects

  • Sound understanding of integrated project controls and processes for gas condensate production with mercury and CO2 removal

  • Able to manage staff in a multi-national, multi-cultural environment

  • SE Asia experience.
