A leading North American natural gas producer and a technical and cost leader in the in-situ recovery of oilsands bitumen.

We are seeking several experienced EHS Field Coordinators with a proven track record of accomplishments to support various high-profile and emerging plays for the company. We're looking for proven EHS Field Coordinators with an uncompromising commitment to excellence and process improvement. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and Implement EHS guidelines and best practices throughout area of responsibilities (drilling, completions, construction, and production).

  • Coordinate and conduct all EH&S-related training initiatives. Some new program development will also be required. Ensure 100% compliance (identification, review, implementation, and tracking) with respect to the Hazard ID program, both employees and contractors.

  • Investigate, report and resolve - incidents, spills, near misses and hazard ID’s. Input reports into the Incident Management System (IMS). Follow-up and make sure action items are completed and closed in IMS.

  • Report incidents to TCEQ, RRC, LDEQ, DNR or other applicable regulatory agencies.

  • Coordinate the purchase and issue of all PPE and safety equipment to all personnel.

  • Facilitate events (field tours, contractor safety meetings, employee safety meetings, etc). This includes securing a place for the event, food, transportation, safety equipment for some events, and work with operations on agenda items.

  • Involvement in local Safety council.

  • Conduct drilling and workover rig inspections with the emphasis on the rig crews and personnel conducting these inspections regularly themselves. Respond to personnel, contractors, and/or regulators in regard to safety and environmental concerns related to properties.

  • Conduct safety and environmental inspections where necessary or required. Calibrate LEL monitors once a month for drilling, completions, construction, and production personnel who have gas monitors.

  • Conduct monthly safety meeting for personnel. Participate in pre-spud meetings for drilling operations.

  • Coordinate quarterly contractor safety meetings. Work with contractors and Contractor Coordinator to ensure compliance with company guidelines

Qualifications/ Experience:

The following skills, qualifications and experience are required:

  • BS or BA degree in Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of five years previous experience within EH&S; experience specific to oil & gas preferred.

  • Previous experience with state & local regulatory agencies.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
