An integrated energy and chemical Company with
principal businesses of exploration, production and trading of petroleum and
natural gas, refining and sales of petroleum products and production and sales
of chemical products.
Reporting to the Operations
Manager, this individual will be responsible for leading the Projects Department
through 6 direct reports: Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Instrument
Engineer, Process Engineer, Civil Engineer, and Facilities Advisor.
Responsibilities include:
-
Provide engineering and project
management development on projects that are critical to growth of the Company.

Develop conceptual and
preliminary engineering and design for operational projects.

Ensure that correct Engineering
Standards, equipment ratings, process requirements, codes and Industry
Standards, specifications and regulatory requirements are used as the basis
for design, procurement, fabrication, construction, testing and startup of
facilities.

Evaluation and analysis of
potential business opportunities providing strategic planning to senior
management concerning the development, engineering, design and implementation
of capital projects.

Develop project plans,
schedules, cost estimates and controls for all projects; prepare and manage
project budgets and perform periodic cost and productivity analyses.

Oversee a wide range of
contractors and suppliers, ensuring that contractual commitments are fulfilled
and best practice is shared across teams.

| Qualifications/ Experience: |
The following skills,
qualifications and experience are required:
-
B. Sc. in Engineering
-
International experience is
essential.
-
A minimum of fifteen years of
experience in Project and Construction Management, Engineering Management, EPC
contracting, Commissioning and Startup, Plant Operations, Maintenance and
Inspection.

Experienced at managing
multiple contractor interfaces and a smooth transition to stable operations of
the assets;
-
A proven track record managing
multiple projects simultaneously or a single project of major-size and scope
-
Application and wide knowledge
of industry best practices, standards, methodology and industry codes, as well
as business and risk analysis and opportunity selection tools, methods and
software.

Strong management reporting,
technical writing, presentation and PC skills.
-
Practical knowledge and
understanding of Logistics, Inventory and Warehousing.
-
Practical knowledge and
understanding of Drilling/Workover Operations Projects and general Production
Operations would be an advantage.
-
Previous international
experience and understanding of working with a variety of cultures and
nationalities is essential.
