The type of work will be varied from high level strategies to detailed design work and you will undertake technical appraisal, river and coastal designs, economics, client liaison and reporting. Those wishing to develop as project managers will be given general project management duties under the supervision of a senior project manager.

Who Should Apply?. Ideally, you would have a MSc or PhD in a Civil Engineering or coastal / river engineering related degree. You must have good numerical, presentation and written skills, and you would be working as part of a team delivering Environment Agency projects. Ideally you should have a relevent post-graduate experience in river or coastal engineering or have a suitable degree background (mathematics, geography, oceanography etc) and a strong interest in the field which you want to develop. Future Opportunities? Excellent career prospects to progress to Chartered status and move up the ranks year on year.
