Environmental Jobs - Associate Geo-Environmental Engineer - Bristol: This client is an international multi disciplinary consultancy that provides a range of engineering, environmental, planning and management services to a diverse portfolio of clients within both the public and private sectors with over 2000 staff in 32 locations. They are looking for an associate geo-environmental engineer to work out of their Bristol office. The successful candidate will be the principal technical specialist for geo-environmental and contaminated land issues within the Bristol business unit and will have responsibility for managing and developing a small team of geotechnical and environmental specialists within that unit. You will be required to interface with the planning, engineering, rail and project management disciplines in the Bristol office as well as regionally in the South West and Wales.

As such, the successful applicant will act as the key technical and commercial representative for the tem. Consequently strong business development skills and the ability to communicate on an appropriate technical and commercial level to a wide range of clients will be an advantage. Applicants should be educated to BSc level in a relevant discipline as a minimum but an MSc would be an advantage. Applicants should have extensive experience in environmental consultancy or equivalent experience in the public or private sector. Experience in design, management, writing reports and execution of desk studies and site investigations for brownfield site developments should have been gained. The applicant should also have knowledge of current UK practice for qualitative and quantitative risk assessment and remediation of contaminated land.
