Principal Ecologist (Biodiversity and Planning)

A fantastic opportunity has opened for an expert ecologist to join an outstanding, established team in the North. You will bring your skills and areas of expertise to the team and help maintain the already successful services they offer.

You will join the team at Principal level and there is plenty of scope to take on more of a business development role if you so wish.

Successful candidates will have the following:

• Experience in undertaking Appropriate Assessments on plans and projects
• Excellent understanding of the UK planning process and master planning
• Extensive experience in the UK ecological consultancy market
• Experience in UK nature conservation policy development, consultation and public sector agreements
• Enthusiasm to build a unique service to clients and develop his/her capabilities.
• Chartered Environmentalist

You will be qualified to degree level in ecology or a relevant discipline and have extensive related experience e.g. consultancy experience. Protected species licences are a must and will be essential to your great success within the consultancy.
