Completion Engineer

This well established organisation is an integrated international energy company that gets involved with many activities including exploration and production, refining, marketing and transportation. The company is currently looking for a Completions Engineer to be responsible for the development of safe completions programs. This role will also see you working alongside the Drilling Engineer helping to deliver the optimum well bore to the exploration department. The position will also see you utilizing analytical skills to design and evaluate completion techniques, and also supervising offshore installation and the operation of completion equipment. Other responsibilities you will have in this role are outlined below:

• Developing completions designs for various applications.

• Developing completion and workover procedures.

• Responsibility for technical support during an operational period, including providing emergency response.

• Communicate and co-ordinate plans with relevant service companies.

• Collecting and evaluating well data.

• Evaluating designs for metallurgy selection, stress analysis and gas lift and well bore cleanout.

Due to the amount of responsibilities that you will have for this role the company is looking for an individual that fits several essential criteria. On the personal level, the individual must:

• Have excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills.

• Have the ability to convey technical information clearly.

• Have a logical and systematic approach to completing tasks.

• Have the ability to work independently.

On the more technical and educational level you must also meet the following criteria:

• Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline.

• Extensive experience within the industry, especially well site experience.

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of completion engineering and well construction.

• Offshore Survival Certificate.

• Well Control Certificate (would be preferable)

• Willing to travel and sometimes at short notice.
