A broad range of work is managed from the London office by the Subsurface Team, with the focus of work being very technical, and as a result standards here are high. Due to ongoing success and a recent internal promotion, the London multidisciplinary team currently seeks to add a further Senior Reservoir Engineer to the vibrant and growing Subsurface Team. THE ROLE

This organisation has operations worldwide, with regions covered including Northern Europe, Russia, North & West Africa, Middle East, SE Asia and the Americas. The range of work promises to be dynamic and filled with variety, with no two days being the same and the appointee will provide Reservoir Engineering support across a range of technically challenging assets, with particular focus on Eurasia. The successful candidate is expected to heavily contribute towards strategic & operational decisions in the best interests of maximizing value. This exciting new opportunity will entail working within tight timescales to optimize field development plans whilst working closely alongside other team members, both here in the UK and internationally. You can expect to be involved in:

  • Review and evaluation of available engineering data
  • Developing the future drilling program and incorporating results into reservoir models and Field Development Plans
  • Obtaining historic engineering data to build knowledge of the assets and maintain database
  • Interpretation of well test data and analysis of fluid samples
  • Constructing/updating well and material balance models to predict production rates and ultimate recoveries
  • Identifying and quantifying dynamic risk parameters in volumetric reserve and resource estimates
  • Constructing simulation models
  • Coaching of more junior team members

The London team comprises of a collection of talented O&G professionals and this role presents an excellent opportunity for technically minded REs to make a valid contribution to the achievements of the group. Opportunities for international based roles exist in the medium term.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate for this role would be an experienced & technically minded Reservoir Engineer with strong academic grounding backed up by significant industry experience, ideally some of which should have been gained with an operator. Knowledge of or experience of working in Eurasia, in particular Russia would be considered beneficial, but this company would not rule out strong candidates lacking experience in this region. This role would be ideally suited to REs with a positive, hands-on approach, those able to build relationships quickly and able to demonstrate a tenacious & unique approach to overcoming barriers. Our client is interested in those with good interpersonal and influencing skills and a flair for innovative problem solving alongside effective communication. Those with a genuine and demonstrable interest in developing their careers with an international operating company would be of particular interest.
