Energy Yield Officer

The proposed role is in a leading multidisciplinary’s Glasgow based Renewable Energy Team, a growing unit of 10 core staff with the regular support of more than 100 other professionals throughout the group. The current focus of this team is renewable energy project evaluation and project development undertaking work in areas such as feasibility studies, pre-acquisition due diligence, lenders technical advisor work, construction monitoring and technology assessment.

The role involves a technical lead in the areas of energy yield assessment, turbine layout optimisation and performance assessment. This will include in-house modelling using proprietary wind farm modelling packages, as well as review of other consultants wind modelling results. Other duties are likely to include specification of wind modelling studies and of data collection for model inputs. This work will be an integral part of our Owner’s Engineer, Lender’s Engineer, due diligence and feasibility studies work.

The work will be Glasgow based with a requirement for short term travel within the UK, Europe and possibly Asia. More than 50 % of the teams work is for projects outside the UK.

  • You will have Wind energy experience
  • Wind energy modelling experience using proprietary package
