Commercial Energy Assessor

A leading provider of workplace risk solutions is looking for Commercial Energy Performance Assessors at various levels of seniority to expand their provision of services in the Energy and Environmental Management arena.

This innovative organisation provides a comprehensive range of professional, support and software services in the areas of risk management, health and safety and the built environment. In order to expand their capabilities in the Energy and Environmental Management sector they are looking for consultants with building services/surveying experience to undertake commercial energy performance assessments.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking commercial energy assessments
• Produce required outputs on time and to set standards
• Attending sites/buildings and effectively communicating with clients
• Collecting relevant information in order to complete reports and certification
• Carrying out detailed calculations and inspecting relevant legislation in order to comply with necessary specifications

Accreditation to undertake commercial energy performance assessments is not essential but highly desirable. A particularly attractive aspect of this opportunity is the training and career development this organisation is willing to provide, including putting the successful candidate through a recognised accreditation scheme.

Skills and experience required:

• Prior experience undertaking energy performance assessments
• Building Control or Surveying experience
• A background that enables cross training in the Fire Risk and Health & Safety disciplines
• Experience of large commercial buildings in the built environment is essential; an understanding of energy management is also desirable
