Microgeneration Lead Designer

One of the UK's leading integrated power and gas companies has a Lead Designer role for a Microgeneration expert.

Conscious of its impacts on the environment, our client actively manages its carbon dioxide emissions. Working for a company with a portfolio of renewable energy technology and a strong commitment to pursue all available options to meet national energy objectives, you will need to be forward thinking in order to appropriately represent the nature of the company.

Influencing the strategic direction of technical development you will work to build strong client relationships and grow the company's reputation as both a zero carbon and low carbon design and delivery organisation. Responsible for developing low carbon energy solutions you will also work with bid managers to generate new project opportunities.

As the Lead Designer you will work closely with your team and other teams to ensure a high standard of technical and commercial design delivery. Your main areas of responsibility will include:

• Managing and developing a team
• Energy design and the outlining of technical assessments on new energy schemes - analysis and modeling
• Design quality assurance
• Client management and engagement
• Technology evaluation and awareness

With knowledge of the UK sustainability agenda, strategies and policies along with five to ten years experience in engineering design or a microgeneration product specification role you will have:

• Strong experience with modeling, design and specification
• Working knowledge of appropriate modeling software
• A proven track record of managing a team
• Professional industry association (desirable but not essential)
