Energy/Carbon Management Consultant

A nationally recognized environmental consultancy which is a recognized investor in people is looking to develop its carbon management business. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Carbon Management Consultant to join a growing Energy Services team to contribute to projects in a variety of market sectors. Your role will include project management and technical delivery of energy and carbon management services to both private and public sector clients. You will also have a key role in growing this area of business through building excellent client relationships, developing leads and preparing proposals.

Candidates will have a first degree in BSc Engineering or Energy Technology and preferably a second degree in MSc Energy Policy or Change Management.

You will have core skills and experience in energy management and the application of energy efficiency and low carbon technology. You will also have a good understanding of how these skills can contribute to the development of carbon management strategies, including the response to climate change legislation and stakeholder pressure. Ideally you will have a technical or business management background with and will have developed these skills in a consultancy environment. Experience in the implementation of capital projects and engagement at board level would be an advantage. Typically we would expect candidates to have significant experience to have the skills and knowledge to be successful in this role, but depth and breadth rather than length of experience will be considered when making recruitment decisions.
