Senior Project Engineer – EnergyManchester, UKSalary: £35K Do you want to work to work for a highly successful, market leading environmental and engineering consultancy? You will form a pivotal role within this highly esteemed organization and your responsibilities will be to carry out feasibility studies, design and project management of low and zero carbon projects, and utility minimisation with new and existing industrial clients. To work in project teams either as project manager or as a supporting team member. A breakdown of the role has been summarized below: Responsible for managing the firm's relationships with existing clients where you are the designated representative. Assist in the preparation of proposals and fee bids o Act as Project Manager on designated contracts and • be responsible for the contractual and technical management, co-ordination and administration of projects in accordance with current agreements, conditions of contract etc. • report to the Regional Director of Energy Services to ensure that the projects for which you are responsible are adequately staffed within the confines of the budget and to monitor and control office, site staff and sub-consultants man-hours and expenditure • maintain close contact with the clients for whose project you have responsibility • be familiar with the agreement between the Firm and the Client and to make claims for additional fees and extensions of time where these are justified • monitor and co-ordinate interfaces of responsibility and information between the Client, sub-consultants, contractors and site • initiate and monitor and control project planning, programming, progress reviews and reporting procedures be responsible for the overall quality and timeliness of deliverables (e.g. drawings, reports, tender documents etc) The ideal candidate will have qualifications including: BSc in an Engineering discipline or MSc in a relevant discipline (e.g. Renewable Energy, Sustainable Energy Systems, Chemical Engineering etc.) if the first degree is not Engineering. Working towards chartered Engineer status (IMechE, IChemE,CIBSE, MEI, IEEE) with significant post-graduate work experience in technical roles.
