Qualifications and experience

-Degree or alternative qualification in electrical (building services) engineering
-AutoCAD experience (preferential but not necessity)
-Experience in the use of NES software (preferential but not essential)
-Experience in the use of Dialux or Relux lighting design software
-Experience in the use of Amtech design software

Criteria

-Reside locally to St Albans
-Own transport available + valid driver's licence
-Available to commence immediately or under short notice
-Permanent position

Job Description

The engineer will be required to deal with projects in the UK and continental Europe from concept/feasibility stage, through design and construction to commissioning and handover under the guidance of a senior engineer. The engineer will be trained and developed to achieve chartered engineering status. Skills that will be developed include but are not limited to the following:

-Lighting calculations
-Cable calculations
-Part L Compliance checking
-Detail development of concept designs to include equipment selection and specification etc
-Liaison with architects, clients, structural engineers and contractors
-Project Management
-Site inspections
