Senior Contaminated Land Engineer

This client is a hugely popular international consultancy and they are currently seeking a Senior Engineer to work in its Contaminated Land and Remediation Business Unit. The role is based in their Leeds office and is due to continued expansion in this sector. The integrated package of multi-disciplinary services includes preparation of Contaminated Land site investigations, Geotechnical analysis and design, Environmental Impact Statements, IPPC Licenses, Waste Licenses, Air Quality assessment, Waste management, Environmental Liability Risk Assessments (ELRA), Closure Aftercare Restoration and Management Plans (CRAMP), Flood Risk assessment and more.

Duties and responsibilities for this role include:

• Project Management and financial reporting
• Provision of specialist input into projects
• Provision of technical support to members of the team, as well as other parts of the organization
• Marketing of the company's services in relevant areas (Business development)
• Client management
• Staying current on related research and best practices, and legislation
• Mentoring of more junior members of staff
• Any other associated duties that may arise

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following area:

• Substantial relevant experience since primary degree, preferably some or all in consultancy
• Design and implementation of site and ground investigations
• Design of remediation schemes/practices and risk assessments
• Technical report writing and briefing skills
• Presentation skills (for tenders, conferences, etc)
