Contaminated Land Consultant

This client is a growing company that specialises within consulting civil, structural, geotechnical and environmental services. They are currently based within several locations, with the HO in the West Midlands. They are looking to recruit a consultant to join their expanding team.

The role requires candidates with experience in conducting desk studies, contaminated land investigation, scheduling laboratory testing/analysis, conducting risk assessment and report writing. Applicants should have a strong academic background and be willing to work both individually and as part of a constantly expanding team. The work this consultancy does is in advance of residential development projects, driven by planning conditions, building regulations or NHBC requirements. Desk studies involve obtaining information from various sources including Local Authorities, Environment Agency and others. Other duties will include negotiation with Local Authorities and the Environment Agencies, planning and co-ordinating ground investigations, collecting soil and groundwater samples, site monitoring, conducting risk assessment and preparing reports.
