In line with continued growth and an exciting project range, this organisation's UK offices close to Aberdeen seek a Senior Petrophysicist. The appointee will act as an individual contributor within the petrophysics team, providing petrophysical advice and analysis on multidisciplinary studies/projects. It is envisaged that the role will encompass the provision of advice on data acquisition, performance of data quality checks and the selection & performance of appropriate interpretation routines. In addition you will be expected to compute zonal averages, analyse sensitivity of outputs to input parameters and perform environmental corrections.
This role would be suited to senior level petrophysicists who have preferably spent a portion of his/her career working for an operator. Applicants must be able to display good petrophysical analysis skills and ideally hold experience of data acquisition operations. Additional skills/capabilities sought include:
- Data analysis - legacy data, modern data, LWD data, core data and preferably cased hole data
- Use of relevant software (Geolog)
- Project management
- Peer review
- Quality assurance
- Good understanding of integration with other sub surface disciplines
- Ability to work on your own initiative and possess good written and verbal communication skills
- Coaching & mentoring of junior staff
- Strong academic grounding in relevant discipline
