Reservoir Engineering Manager

An oil and gas consultancy with a client portfolio that stretches across Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific would like to recruit Reservoir Engineering personnel for their Norwegian offices. This organisation has a balanced portfolio of differing E&P companies and work on a variety of producing, development and exploration assignments. They see k to fill the key vacancy of Reservoir Engineering Manager as soon as possible!

For the Reservoir Engineering Manager's post, the appointee will be responsible for all aspects of sub-surface reservoir management, well completion design and well testing within the group portfolio. You will participate with the Geoscience team in the assessment of the hydrocarbon systems in each area of client exploration and development activity. In addition you will be called upon to contribute to the pre-drill assessment of prospects and will have a major role in the evaluation of discoveries (as and when it is required). As a key member of the senior management team, you will make recommendations on numerous topics, from technical appraisal and development, to maximisation of recoverable reserves and production, to the networking of new clients and business development.

Expected duties will include
- Conducting reservoir interpretation and evaluations on client properties
- Contributing to the decision process for the preparation of technical recommendations for all subsurface activities including well testing proposals, well data interpretation, reservoir modelling and potential developments
- Contributing to the preparation of technical work programmes and associated budgets for prospective operated activities

The post outlined above would be suited to a high Senior or Principal standard Reservoir Engineer with extensive experience and a relevant first degree coupled with Masters in Petroleum Engineering. You should be adept at carrying out the role as outlined above, with a natural flair for leadership, good organizational skills and previous experience of working within a multidisciplinary team. This role would be best suited to a tenacious individual with plenty of ambition and a flexible approach.
