This is an independent operating company looking to expand their operations. At present their portfolio is within the UK North Sea, they are seeking an individual to assist with the development of their assets, and potentially secure new ventures in the future. The strategy is to establish commercial reserves in order to create and deliver value
The role will have the successful individual report to the Petroleum Manager to provide petroleum and reservoir engineering technical support and input to development planning, drilling and production operations, including obtaining all Government and Partner approvals and sub-surface activities.

Principal duties include:
* Timely generation of field development plans and well programmes
* Review of well performance
* Routine analysis of production and production problems
* Technical support in resolving production issues and optimisation of short term field production rates
* Input to the short and medium term production forecasts
* Development of work-over and well intervention programmes.
* Timely reporting of activities and data to the authorities as required by relevant regulations.
* Preparation of department controlled budgets and input to drilling and operations budgets.
* Ensure adequate HSE controls are in place for PE activities.

They would also like to see:
* Masters of Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Physics or Mathematics.
* Solid technical experience with an upstream company, ideally within an operating environment.
* Previous experience in operated field development activities is essential.
* Ability to explore and apply lateral thinking/innovative approaches to problems.
* All round skills and experienced required, from sub-surface technicalities to operations with a clear understanding of the business drivers.
* Well developed interpersonal skills.
* Well versed in presentational and negotiating skills.
