The appointee will be responsible for providing expert advice on reservoir engineering projects as requested by clients, both within the UK and potentially worldwide. This position is for a reservoir engineer capable of performing complex reservoir modelling work, often done in conjunction with reservoir characterization efforts that entail the construction of highly detailed geocellular models. Effective teamwork and communication with others will be the key to success and the successful applicant should be able to work independent of supervision and exercise independent judgment in the execution of their work. This role will incorporate the following responsibilities and necessities:

* Complex reservoir modeling including dual porosity simulation, compositional simulation, and handling near-wellbore efforts. Generally this will require working with various multi-disciplinary teams to optimise the integration of data from various disciplines into the work product.
* Pressure transient test analysis, production analysis and nodal analysis
* Developing working relationships with reservoir engineers in business units and providing mentoring to further develop their skills. Opportunities to train more junior engineers if appointee so desires.
* Ideally be qualified to Masters standard in a Reservoir/Petroleum Engineering related discipline.

In addition to technical capabilities, this role would be best suited to individuals with excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to recognize the value of establishing good relations within the business stream. Using your skills of communication you will be adept at working effectively with those within and outside the formal line of authority to accomplish organizational goals.
