Petrophysicist

Location: Stavanger

Salary: £NEG + excellent benefits

This is a well known consultancy company offering a range of services to the Oil and Gas industry. The post will require the successful individual to provide specialist petrophysical and reservoir advice within the Subsurface team. Based within a multi disciplined team where you will interact with geologists, geophysicists, petrophysicists and reservoir engineers, your activities will include exploration, appraisal, development and production. Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Petrophysical data management and input to field development plans

  • Quality control and assurance of log, core and test data

  • Coordination of routine and special core analysis measurement programs

  • Integration of well data and results into reservoir models

  • Participate in technical evaluation and defining/executing strategies and related data acquisition programs

  • Petrophysical input to geophysical analysis

  • Mentoring of staff and project delivery

Applying individuals will need to be educated up to MSc level and must be able to demonstrate experience within a highly technically orientated post. Operator experience desirable although not essential. They would also like to see people that are/have:

  • Positive attitude with ambition, vision and drive

  • Proactive and team orientated

  • Strong minded with the ability to excel within pressure environments

  • Great overall understanding of the Oil and Gas industry

  • Membership of one or more professional subscriptions
