Our client is one of Europe's leading utilities. They serve around 6.6 million customer accounts and produce more than 10% of the electricity used in the UK.

The Electrical Control and Instrumentation Group within Engineering & Technology is seeking to recruit Electrical Engineers to support the continued growth of their gen eration business. You will provide technical and project engineering expertise to their business, ensuring they receive all the necessary electrical engineering support, from project conception through to project operation.

Your responsibilities will include managing and delivering cost effective generator connections to transmission and distribution networks, writing technical specifications, undertaking tender and design reviews and general project management of electrical works. In addition, you will be expected to provide similar support services to the rest of the companies portfolio in line with business requirements.

Experience
* A thorough understanding of electrical power plant
* Liaison and Negotiation with Transmission and Distribution Network Operators
* Connection Application Process
* Management and Delivery of Generator Connections to T&D Networks
* Understanding of Grid and Distribution Codes
* Power System Analysis
* Wind Turbine Generators and their performance, e.g. Grid Code Compliance
* Project Engineering, including Specification, Tender & Design Reviews


If you are a strong team player who is proactive in their approach to work and enjoys being challenged. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is a customer focus. Applicants should be Chartered Engineers, or working towards Chartered status, with substantial knowledge and experience.
