CFD Engineer London , UKŁNEGOne of the UK’s leading engineering consultancies is looking for a senior CFD engineer to join its team based in London. Their work covers a wide range of building, transport and infrastructure sectors. They conduct CFD studies for a range of applications such as wind engineering, fire and smoke spread in buildings and tunnels, train aerodynamics and analysis of various water utility installations, including reservoir spillways, contact tanks and distribution chambers. They also provide fluid dynamics and heat transfer advice and support to others within the business. You will be required to provide technical leadership of projects, delivering appropriate CFD, fluid mechanics and engineering analyses, advice and strategies, as well as liaising with project stakeholders to achieve approvals. It is also expected that you will carry out CFD simulations yourself, as necessary to meet the requirements of projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum BS/BSc degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering or closely related field. Prior industrial experience is essential and an understanding of fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, heat and mass transfer, combustion or acoustics is vital.
