Senior Sustainability Engineer

One of the country’s leading engineering consultancies is seeking a Senior Sustainability Engineer based in either their London or Oxford office. In order to sustain future growth in their Sustainability Group, they are looking for ambitious self-motivated individuals with design flair to complement their existing teams working on prestigious projects throughout the UK.

The ideal candidate will be self motivated and able confidently represent the firm at client design team meetings and possess a range of project experience including commercial, residential and education sectors.

Suitably qualified with an engineering degree, the candidate will have a building services background with an architectural interest, ideally with proven experience from a consultancy in sustainable building design and be able to undertake environmental assessments providing advice on renewable energies and other low carbon, sustainability issues.

The candidate should preferably be BREEAM / EcoHomes / Code for Sustainable Homes trained (or seeking to be), with experience of building thermal analysis software and be seeking to further develop these skills, with a keen interest in building services design and renewable energy technologies.

• Energy Strategy Reports including Renewable Energy Studies
• Passive Building Designs
• Environmental, Energy Use and Carbon reduction benchmarking
• Dynamic Thermal Modelling and Energy use Modelling
• BREEAM and EcoHomes consultancy
• Part 'L' Building Regulations Compliance
• CHP Analysis
• Community Heating and Cooling systems
