I am recruiting for a successful specialist consultancy which has developed a name in the industry for its high quality of work, work ethic, commitment to ecological thinking and research. You would join a close nit, friendly, non-corporate and supportive office where you can gain experience and excel in a Job you love.

This consultancy works on the following area’s Habitat surveys, vegetation surveys, protected species surveys, fauna surveys, ecological assessments, information preparation, research and expert witness.

The senior ecologist will join an enthusiastic team and be involved in Phase I habitat surveys and ecological assessment. You will project manage individual contracts; you will see the contracts through from start to finish, liaise with clients, other consultancies and write reports. The successful candidate will be involved in all ecological work in the office, gaining a great deal of expert experience and will receive first class training.

Essential for this role –

• Relevant degree or Masters

• Experience of Report writing

• Experience of field work

• Knowledge of Reptiles, badgers, dormice, water voles or otters

• Knowledge of habitat, vegetation or bat ecology

• Knowledge of Protected Species

Desirable -

• PhD

• Knowledge of EIA or Mitigation

Salary

£22’000-£35’000 plus bonus plus flexi time plus pension plus TOIL plus mentoring plus annual pay rise plus generous holiday allowance.
