As one of my best client’s they have contacted me recently regarding their Sheffield office and their need for a Senior Sustainable Buildings Consultant to join the existing successful team. I am looking for a consultant with experience of advising clients and project team members on various aspects of sustainability and environmental issues.

This highly challenging and prosperous position will entail the following;

Advising on Sustainability matters associated with planning, legislation, building regulations, carbon footprinting and auditing. Advising on environmental assessment methods, attending meetings with clients and collaborators, producing specifications and reports, and co coordinating the work of others. Communicating with clients to establish their needs, and maintaining a dialogue throughout the project. You will also be responsible for Supervising and co coordinating the work of other team members and co coordinating work with building professionals of other disciplines. Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team.

You will possess a relevant degree in an appropriate building profession, with suitable experience gained over a number of years. You will have an extensive knowledge of BREEAM and CSH advice and assessment, carbon footprinting, energy audits, legislation guidance and advice. Other necessary attributes for this role are you will possess excellent communications skills, (both written and verbal) and the ability to understand the balance of priorities for different projects. You will also be able to develop successful client relationships and maintain them, along with excellent time management and organisational skills.
