Senior Drilling Engineer

A renowned international operator in the field of exploration and production of natural gas and crude oil seeks out an Exploration Geophysicist to join their team of technical experts. This organisation’s know-how is among the best in the industry, they are one of Europe’s biggest energy corporations with facilities in numerous countries, and also holds a number of exploration licenses within various regions.

Reporting to the Aberdeen office, this role will have you play an important part in supporting all activities relating to Drilling. You will be responsible for:

• Well design and workover program preparation and implementation

• Performance monitoring and cost control

• Maintain procedures and scheduling of program

• Develop and maintain contingency programs

• Execution of drilling operations

• Accurate reporting of data and reviews

• Advise of quality improvements

• Assist in HSE activities

Additional non-technical requirements the management seeks includes:

• Good command of written and spoken English

• Team worker with willingness to mentor and coach Juniors team members

• Enthusiasm

Applying candidates will need to be educated to MSc level. They ask for good industrial experience either within an operator or a service consultancy, plus require practical experience of recognised drilling engineering software packages.
