The successful applicant will be tasked with assisting the Chief Geophysicist with evaluating and developing assets of clients through the use of seismic interpretation and other geophysical techniques. As a Senior, you will be involved through the full life cycle process from exploration to abandonment, and will provide technical leadership to the project team.

Main responsibilities include:

• Evaluation of geological and geophysical data and reports

• Modelling of seismic and attribute data to aid interpretation and proposals

• Evaluation of uncertainty and risk

• Knowledge of mapping and modelling software (such as Petrel, Zmap, SeisWork and Geoprobe)

• 2D and 3D seismic interpretation and analysis

As a Senior, you will also need to demonstrate:

• Good spoken and written English

• Good interpersonal and analytical skills

Working within a diverse environment, this role will also provide you with the opportunity work on a variety of differing projects and assignments. It is important the applying individual is willing to undertake short term international work.

Working with other disciplines, you will join an experienced staff base and you will have had exposure to a variety of geological activities from your previous (or current) employment. They are looking for the individual to complement and add value to their people and clients, so it is essential you have proven expertise within the field. Academically they ask for consultants to be educated to MSc level. Any additional training and association with professional institutes would be extremely attractive.
