Field-based Calibration Engineer
Location: Home-based (Essex / Berks / Herts / Bucks)
Up to £29,000 OTE (inc. overtime) + Company Car + Pension



Our client is a specialist company providing calibration and repair services for audiometric, acoustic and vibration instrumentation. The company has a laboratory facility in Scotland and provides an on-site calibration service which covers the UK and Ireland. They are leaders in the field of audiometric calibration and hold UKAS accreditation for the calibration of measurement microphones and audiometers.

You will work from home and travel to site to calibrate and carry out basic maintenance (and occasional repair work) on audiometric equipment at hospitals, clinics, health centres, etc. You will utilise a custom-designed calibration system which controls the calibration process and generates calibration certificates, job reports, etc. You will be working alone but will have the technical and administrative back-up of the laboratory and other on-site engineers. You will liaise with health service workers on a day-to-day basis in the course of your work.

We are looking for candidates that are qualified to HNC/HND level in an appropriate electronics discipline. You should have a smart personal appearance, excellent organisational abilities, good communication and customer care skills and be able to work under pressure when required. A clean driving license is required together with good navigation skills.

Calibration experience is desirable however full training will be provided.
