Senior Water Modeller
Location: Newcastle, UK
Our client’s Newcastle office has had considerable success over recent years
winning a considerable amount of major prestigious schemes in the region. They
work closely with contractors and have a high proportion of Design & Build work.
As a result of their continuing success they are looking for talented
individuals to form part of multi-disciplinary teams to work on a variety of
projects for Northumbrian Water, including a Senior Modeller.
The role will provide a range of challenging, dynamic and high-profile
projects which will offer fantastic career development.
- Technical inputs and management of projects for water resource
development, aquatic environment impact assessment and water quality
management
- Report and proposal writing
- Project and team management
- Development of junior staff
- Client liaison
Applications are welcome from individuals with the following skills and
experience;
- A degree and a postgraduate qualification in hydrogeology, water resources
engineering or similar subjects, or equivalent
- Experience in the field of hydrogeology, groundwater quality, and water
resources development/ management
- A sound understanding of UK and EU water resources legislation and
regulation
- InfoWorks and Drainage Area Planning experience
- Good knowledge of groundwater modelling, including use of MODFLOW, MODPATH
and MT3D
- Ability to work with the minimum of supervision and on own initiative
- Candidates should have the ability to communicate effectively and
professionally with all levels of staff and external clients/contacts at all
times
- Possess excellent time and resource management skills
- Experience working in or with a multi-disciplinary design consultancy
- Willingness to travel and work at various locations within the UK and
overseas
