Asbestos Consultant

Salary : £28 - 37K+

Due to a significant increase in workload, a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint an Asbestos Consultant to join their expanding team in London.

Principal Duties: -

• Completing Type 1, 2 and 3 Asbestos surveys - predominantly for a local authority client.
• Completing priority Risk Assessments in line with MDHS100 and client requirements
• Writing up results from asbestos surveys.
• Project Management of small/large asbestos work.
• Communicating and liaising with clients, tenants, contractors, other offices, staff , etc.
• Coordination of team members
• Ensuring Safe working practices
• Assistance in new asbestos bids.
• Assistance in training newly P402 qualified asbestos surveyors

Desirable Qualifications

• MSc, P401, P403, P404, P405, P406, S301

Essential Qualifications

• Degree Qualified
• P402 Bulk Sampling and Asbestos Surveying
• 5+ years experience

Essential Experience

• Undertaking Type I, II and III asbestos surveys across for a range of different clients
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of MDHS100 and HSE asbestos related legislation
• Managing large and complex asbestos surveying projects
• Excellent Report writing skills
• Ability to use IT systems for report writing (e.g. Word, Multibase, etc)
• Project Management
