Asbestos Surveyor


Gloucestershire, Bedfordshire or Northamptonshire, UK

Salary :£27K+


Our client is one of the UK's leading providers of health and safety advice and support. The nationwide team of health and safety specialists provides a one-stop solution for a broad range of organisations in the property management, retail, construction and corporate markets. They are now looking for an Asbestos Surveyor to join their team.

Based either from Gloucester, Northamptonshire or Bedfordshire the Asbestos Surveyor will report into the Operations Manager and will be responsible for providing client services through site visits, verbal and written reports, and support the operations team with regard to the management of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs). The work will be varied and interesting and projects currently include surveys and reinspections for a national Supermarket chain and for two of the country's leading Property Management companies

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • BOHS certificate S301 or equivalent working towards CCP (Asbestos).
  • BOHS certificate S402 or equivalent.
  • BOHS certificate S403 or equivalent.
  • BOHS certificate S404 or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Proven experience in a health and safety consultancy environment is desirable or alternatively applicants will be required to demonstrate commercial understanding of consultancy.
  • Experience should include Type 2 and Type 3 Surveys, along with Reinspections.
  • A comprehensive understanding of Asbestos legislation, the methodology for Air Testing detailed within HSG 248 and MDHS 100 for surveying.
  • Experience in air testing for asbestos remediation works.
  • Experience in carrying out building surveys.
  • Ability to work well and continue to deliver results under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, gravitas and an ability to establish credibility quickly.
  • Self motivated and driven.
