Group CR Specialist
Surrey or Derbyshire, UK
Salary :£30 - 35K+
The Quality, Safety and Environmental Team of this global organisation is
responsible for providing strategic guidance for quality, safety, environment
and corporate responsibility, including technical support for the business at
all levels, and is responsible for delivery of key objectives for QSE and CR.
They are looking to appoint Group Corporate Responsibility Co-ordinator to
join the Group QSE team based in Surrey or Derby. This position reports to the
Group Environment & CR manager, with the responsibility of improving corporate
responsibility for the company's own operations. The position will require
travel within UK on average 2-3 days per week and international travel
approximately 4 times a year.
Responsibilities
- To assist in the production and collation of data of the CR Report,
including expanding the report to cover all operations worldwide
- To support company offices worldwide to know their carbon footprint for
energy, including; continue with the energy data gathering and identify gaps,
assist with the population of data on the Office Database, develop an energy
rating questionnaire (actual and potential), promote energy efficiency
- To be the point of contact for company offices to support them on other
environment matters such as waste and water management, also working with
local community and on health and safety issues
- To help the businesses to expand travel data to include all operations, to
provide awareness to staff on the choice of travel and advise on the car
policy
- Raise awareness through the business of using more sustainable resources
through supply chain management
Requirements
- Demonstrate a experience of sustainability / corporate responsibility or
facility management working in an advisory capacity
- Ideally educated to a degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject
- Preferably hold individual membership of IEMA
- Have experience in similar industries or Facility Management
- Be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills such as good
communication, organisation skills and build good relationships
- Be able to work in a small team which prides on a team working ethos
- To be proactive, flexible and approachable
- Work on their own initiative and build relationships at different levels
within the organisation
- To be able to give practical advice in a Keep It Simple approach
