Principal Odour Engineer

By joining this global organisation, you will become part of a worldwide team of professionals involved in designing, managing and implementing leading edge programmes and projects in the water, environmental and energy sectors.

They are currently looking for a Principal Engineer to provide an excellent design and commissioning service in the area of Odour assessment and abatement. This service to be delivered through a team of process engineers across the UK working together to common technical standards and tools.

Key Accountabilities

  • Business planning for the odour team
  • Short-term resource planning for the odour team
  • Developing innovative approaches to odour abatement
  • Building the UK client base for the odour product
  • Technical and professional development of existing team
  • Representing the company to the client as the odour control expert
  • Maintaining quality of outputs to the client

To be successful in this role you will have strong leadership skills with ability to manage a widely distributed team. You should have detailed knowledge of odour across source quantification, dispersion modelling and abatement technologies. Experience in a relevant design or consulting delivery area is essential. You should also have excellent spoken and written English language skills as key outputs will include review and approval of reports. You should have a first degree in relevant Science or Engineering discipline and ideally be a Chartered Engineer.
