Operations Manager - Risk Compliance Management


Northants

Salary : £44K+


Our client is one of the UK's leading providers of health and safety advice and support. The nationwide team of health and safety specialists provides a one-stop solution for a broad range of organisations in the property management, retail, construction and corporate markets. They are currently looking to appoint an Operations Manager.

Based from Northampton the Operations Manager will be responsible for the delivery of the RCM business operations in the Southern Region ensuring client satisfaction through the delivery of exceptional service and operational excellence.

Responsibilities include

  • Manage, motivate and develop a regional team of multi-skilled consultants.
  • Maximising efficiencies and ensure the profitable delivery of work.
  • Ensure that clients experience a streamlined service from initial contact to the final delivery of reports/services.
  • Work with the business support functions (HR, business development, growth, commercial and financial) to ensure the delivery of projects that improve productivity and business performance.
  • Operate as a project manager, account manager and technical specialist (as and when required) by attending client meetings with an aim to meet the needs of the business and individual client requirements.
  • Performance measurement including improving the efficiency of the operational team.
  • Management of the P&L.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Applicants are likely to hold membership of an appropriate professional body, such as IFE, MIOSH, CIEH, IEMA or equivalent.
  • A relevant management qualification is desirable however this is not a pre-requisite.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Applicants are required to have an understanding of UK Health and Safety legislation.
  • Experience of managing, motivating and developing teams.
  • Demonstrable experience of improving the efficiency of operational teams.
  • Commercial awareness of pricing and profitability.
  • An understanding of profit & loss accounts.
  • A track record in managing client expectations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Applicants who meet the above requirements and who have a strength in technical knowledge in either fire safety or health and safety would be at an advantage.
