A leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy has opportunities for Environmental Scientists to join their established Water Resources and Environment team at offices in the South East and North West. The team provides services to the public and utility sectors (including framework contracts with the Environment Agency and several Water Utilities) as well as to the private sector. Responsibilities The role will encompass project management, co-ordination and technical review of Environmental Impact Assessments and associated reporting as well as undertaking other environmental investigations and assessments. The role will include business development and project management as well as the development of more junior team members. The work will be varied in nature as well as EIA (regulatory and water-side developments), current projects including development of habitat creation sites (coastal and freshwater), investigating impacts of fluvial low flows and abstractions on fluvial ecology, assessing environment impacts of flood defences and sewerage infrastructure and development proposals, and developing strategies such as Water Level Management Plans, Catchment Flood Management Plans and other water management strategies.
