Senior Planning Analyst

Role

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Planning, your role will be to provide key support and analysis for short and long term corporate planning as well as strategic direction setting in support of development, exploration and new business projects.

More specifically, duties will include:

  • Responsibility for compilation and visualisation of short and long term business plans, development of planning scenarios in order to optimise capital and maximise value to the company.
  • Involvement in forward business planning at both business unit and corporate level.
  • providing commercial & economics advice and analysis to asset managers.
  • building and running Discounted Cash Flow models.
  • Undertaking long term cash flow analysis of current producing assets and potential new developments and acquisitions
  • contributing to/developing a competitive intelligence system

Candidate Profile

We are interested to hear from graduates in business/commerce/finance or engineering who have acquired c. 5-7 years' relevant upstream-related experience working in a similar role for an oil & gas company or who have acquired the desired analytical expertise and commercial understanding working as part of an industry-focussed team within a management consultancy or similar.

More specifically, skills and attributes should include:

  • Sound Knowledge of business and strategic planning
  • expertise in economic modelling
  • Strong analytical skills
  • demonstrable proficiency with Excel
