Technical Manager



Location: The Indian Sub Continent

An International Energy Company is seeking to resource a Technical Manager who will be assigned to the company Operations in the Indian Sub-Continent.

This is regarded as a key role within our client's organization.

Summary of Role

Responsible for managing and directing the company's investment in Indian Sub-continent through effective leadership and by planning, organizing and developing the personnel and assets into a profitable and dynamic organization. This includes responsibility for the strategic direction and growth of the company.

  • Represents the company in dealings with Government authorities, co-venturer's Management, prospective business relations, or contractors, in a manner which will uphold and protect the company's corporate image.
  • Guides operations in using technically sound drilling and exploration methods, identifying and applying new technology, and ensuring where possible that a similar approach is adopted by the company's co-ventures.
  • Ensures regional and technical reports as well as studies for the company's management, Government Agencies, and various co-venturers are comprehensive and timely.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • University degree in Engineering Discipline, Geoscience or Economics
  • Minimum 12 years experience in Technical Supervisory/ Management role within Oil and Gas
  • Ability to cope with a variety of contractural, corporate, legal, financial, business, social and environmental problems arising in international petroleum operations.
  • Organisation Business awareness - essential to meet job requirements
  • Communication and presentation skills are essential to communicate with local Government Officials.
  • Planning, organizing - to ensure resources are secured to meet company targets and objectives
  • Proven leadership skills

Employment Terms
