Senior Reservoir Economic Evaluation Engineer
Job Location: The Gulf States
Due to expansion in activities and recent asset acquisitions, an International Energy Company is seeking to resource a Senior Reservoir Economic Evaluation Engineer who will be assigned to the Gulf States. This is regarded as a key appointment within our client's organisation.
Summary of Role
- Communicate with the Corporate Planning Manager to ensure that strategic outcomes are reflected in business plans, in analysis of the business and competitive environment and in project evaluation support.
- To work with planning and International Asset teams and assume responsibility for assisting in the process of undertaking economic evaluations for the Company's existing assets and potential new opportunities and manages the reserves process for the company.
- Prepares the necessary reports that monitor the Company's performance towards achievement of its short and long term strategic objectives.
- Participates in cross business teams addressing major business issues by evaluating commercial options from a financial and strategic point of view.
- Manages the reserves process for the company and develop criteria for consulting internal audits.
- Review and maintain the company's economic models.
- Provide clear guidelines for reserve definitions and also ensure that the reserve process is effectively communicated.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Graduate in Petroleum Engineering / Economics or related discipline.
- At least 8 years recent, related experience within the oil and gas industry
- Knowledge of Laws and Regulations affecting the petroleum industry and economic analysis techniques
- Master PEEP software usage
- Ability to perform reserves and economic evaluations with proven reservoir engineering experience.
- Extensive knowledge of upstream business processes.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem solving skills and demonstrated experience in decision analysis and economic modelling.
- Staff mentoring / training.
