Job Location:  South East Asia

Due to expansion in activities, an International Energy Company is seeking to resource a Specialist Geologist (CBM) who will be assigned to South East Asia on a residential staff expatriate contract.

Project: Coal Bed Methane

Summary of Role

• Lead, Coal Bed Methane (CBM) Geosciences Team into performance
• Define and deliver subsurface work program to meet CBM appraisal plan objectives
• Hands on technical contribution to developing CBM geological models
• Produce a sound understanding of the geological controls
• Develop workflows which translate the understanding of the CBM play into Petrel 3D models
• Submit plans for data acquisition and analysis
• Represent Company at technical meetings with Governmental Bodies
• Identify and apply appropriate new technology
• Train and develop National geologists

Required Qualifications / Experience

• University Degree in Geoscience subject
• Substantial Geoscience experience in oil & gas
• Substantial experience in Geological modelling & development Geology
• Coal Bed Methane Project experience
• Mentoring / Training of National Staff
