16 Production Engineers

My client who is a major operator in the worldwide oil and gas industry, currently have openings for 16 Production Engineers to be situated in their Houston office.

The contract will be long term and open to anyone who fits the necessary requirements.

I have included an overview below along with the required qualifications/requirements.

Production engineering support for heavy oil/steamflood operations, well monitoring and optimization for heavy oil production maximization, steam pattern surveillance, recommendations and implementation, completion troubleshooting and optimization. Steam injection optimization and scheduling.

Also responsibile for the design, selection and troubleshooting of artificial lift methods including positive cavity pumps, beam pump and electric submersible pump installation. SCADA monitoring and surveillance to optimize production. Well service work direction including cased hole logging, hoist work and other data gathering.

• Work closely with geoscientists, reservoir engineering and operations to optimize field steam injection.
• Manage well and heat surveillance program for a multi-layer, multi-pattern steamflood.
• Monitor daily production performance and recommend remedial actions.
• Direct production and injection allocation activities on a monthly basis.

Required Qualifications

• BS or higher degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years direct experience in petroleum engineering related work, with emphasis on production engineering.
• Prefer strong background in heavy oil and thermal operations and reservoir monitoring techniques.
• Working knowledge of DSS.
• Knowledge of artificial lift including Beam Pump, PCP and ESP.
• High computer proficiency.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Team player capable of working in a multi-discipline, multi-cultural team environment with a desire to share knowledge.
