The Integrated Reservoir Solutions Division of Core Laboratories was created to conduct specialized projects involving the multiple disciplines and services capabilities of numerous core lab divisions. We are supported by our staff of senior-level geologists, geophysicists, engineers and petrophysicists who apply proprietary and state-of-the-art techniques from the earliest phases of exploration through the final phases of production.

Head of Petrology -
International Regional Studies
The Integrated Reservoir Solutions Division of Core Laboratories, based in SE England is seeking an experienced petrologist to take on a leading role in the group as Head of Petrology. This division is responsible for the creation, technical execution and marketing of our international exclusive and non-exclusive geological and petrophysical studies. You will join an experienced, highly motivated group of geoscientists at the forefront of frontier exploration in Africa, Asia and Latin America, both conventional and unconventional:
- Reporting to Manager, Geological Operations, your main roles will be to
- Undertake petrological analysis of clastics, carbonates and shales
- Contribute specialist knowledge to geological interpretation of multi-disciplinary datasets
- Provide mentoring in petrology to reservoir geology team members
Requirements:
- Postgraduate degree in Geology or related geosciences
- 10+ years relevant experience
- Excellent communication and presentational skills
- Willing to travel internationally
Core Laboratories offers a highly competitive base salary and benefit package commensurate with experience including bonus scheme. The anticipated start date is December 2013 or before.
