Theme Leader - Petroleum and Geothermal Portfolio
The position: An outstanding opportunity currently exists for an experienced and motivated individual to join CSIRO's Petroleum and Geothermal Research (PGR) Portfolio in the role of Theme Leader, leading research activities in Gas Production and Processing and Geothermal Energy. The PGR portfolio develops and deploys R&D solutions for oil, gas and geothermal energy exploration, production and processing as well as CO2 capture and storage technologies, aiming at a safer, cleaner, and secure Australian energy future. As Theme Leader you will have direct responsibility to the Portfolio Director for successful execution and management of the Theme. You will recommend the strategic direction of the Theme and will oversee the integration and delivery of the science. Additionally, you will have a key role in designing and facilitating successful delivery and adoption of the science in line with the Theme goal. Specifically you will be responsible for:
Location: Perth, Western Australia preferred, other locations considered To be considered you will hold Engineering and/or physical/chemical/biological sciences background in areas related to oil and gas production and/or processing, or in geosciences with a broad understanding of the petroleum and geothermal industries.
